Still Keeping Hope Alive
Its been trying most definitely. But, I am keeping hope alive. Its been very rare to get any sort of positive response from anyone that I have reached out to assist in the struggle to help the homeless and bring joy to homeless children this holiday season. But, I refuse to give up and I will continue to be persistent. Where would we be if Hebrews, Jews, or African-Americans gave up during their struggle? I am going to keep praying and keeping driving forward until there is a success story to give to the community. Please, keeping praying with me and living positive thoughts!

And Off We Go!
These last 2 weeks have been anything but short from amazing. The Angels of New Hope has been a dream of mine since the passing of my father on February 18, 2002. I established The Angels of New Hope in October 2005 and its been quite the journey to get to the point of where I am today. I will catch you up.
I woke up approximately at 3:30am. You know what they say, "The early bird gets the worm." Well, in my case at times I feel like I am the worm and I need to get a couple steps of the bird. So, I proceeded to check my e-mails. I didn't have new e-mails accept for the usual fashion up-dates. For you that don't know my long term goal is to start a fashion line titled, "The Angles of New Hope," where a portion of the profits go to The Angels of New Hope, the 501(C) 3. I decided that I wanted to follow up with the shelters and organizations that service homeless youth and sent a kind e-mail. I wrote the e-mail and at times I feel as if I cannot hear my voice through the words I write. I have had many people read my psycho babble and they have said I appear abrasive in my presentation of words. So, of course I didn't want an organization that I want to work with that with people I wanted to collaborate with and succeed in what we do best and that is care for those youth in need. However, I trusted in what I wrote was tactful, but not abrasive and I sent it. Shortly there after I received a phone call from the Vice President of Home Base Youth Services. The VP, Steve Keller, was very interested in The Angels of New Hope and was wondering if we could meet. I said yes, but I didn't know he meant today. But, I agreed and we were to meet at 11:00am.
I met Mr. Keller promptly at 11:00am and we discussed how both or our organization were established and what our missions were. He agreed that we should together on this project for the holiday season. Its amazing what a big heart, hope, and hard work can accomplish. I very excited for the days to come. This can be the door opening to the so many other opportunities for The Angels of New Hope to work its mission.

The Start of Journey
The Angels of New Hope Mission Statement: The mission of The Angels New Hope is to collaborate with and support existing non-profit organization that are focused on charitable, education, and or religious activities. Along with raising awareness about homelessness and advocate for homeless children and their education in support of the McKinney-Vento Act.
Its been a long and arduous journey, but we made it. Each day having its moment of losing hope in the world. But, there are people in the world that actually want to show their altruism and a desire to help those in need. We have always wanted to act on faith instead of having faith while sitting and doing nothing and hoping that things would get accomplished by some higher power. We have come to realize we are the vessels of a message and we must spread the word that all homeless are not lazy and there are those that have just been dealt a tough hand of card and needs a mentor to for guidance along the way so that they too can win. Well, The Angels of New Hope is just that mentor and we want to help homeless children receive a sufficient education just like their counterparts that have homes. We are the mentors that will provide the resources and do anything by any means necessary to give them hope of better day and tomorrow.
The Angels of New Hope is attempting just that this holiday season by gathering donations and gifts to bring to children and families in need. We are trying to bring light and joy to these young lives so that they are aware that their are people that care about them and want to act in their lives and the community. We will not accept turning heads as if their existence is obsolete because we know they exist and they are reaching out. We hear so many time that the homeless have no face and voice. Well the truth is that they do have a face and voice we just choose not to look at them and hear their cry. We are reaching and grabbing a hold of them to make progress to a better tomorrow. We know there will be obstacles, but we will not leave them alone and we will put them on our back to get on a better path. We are having hope and trust that others will join in the struggle and take action will make a difference in children's lives that need our guidance to achieve their goals.
The start of a journey and a bond that will never be broken empowering hope and creating new beginnings.
